At last we have a name for the finished bracelet. It is an introduction to odd count peyote stitch. Using 8Hex seed beads and size 15 seed beads and 4mm Austrian crystals and stitched with Fireline.
Nice one Dot - thanks for teaching us this! It took many hours of watching iplayer and doing my homework to complete!

finished....
Here are a couple of things I have finished this week and hop on over to Cotton Confetti to see the little quilt I finished today....
I decided to sew a brooch back onto this little primrose made in brick stitch. It is quite fragile so I shall need to be careful where I pin it! |
Remember this blanket that I started crocheting a few blogs back? Well here it is finished - fits a double bed quite nicely.... and there's still some yarn left over. |
Folded to show a closer view - there are still 'tails' to sew in. |
The bracelet now has the clasp attached at both ends..... |
..... and I have started the third row of picots along one of the sides. |
It rained quite a lot on the return journey from the Loch Lomond Quilt Show - these ducks were swimming in a puddle in the car park at the service station! |
Son of crochet blanket with my mum's very scary plastic cat! This one is going to be suitable for a lap quilt it is a quarter of the size of the big one. |
Many thanks to Sally S for the altered matchbox swap from Craft Stamper..... |
..... and here is the view of the inside! Love the bird stamps and the gold sparkles. |

More jewellery making
Well I've finished this little Primrose Pin, but I'm not sure how to add the pin, so I shall have to see what Dot suggests on Friday evening!
The leaves and primrose before attaching together. |
The pin is rather long, so I may attach a brooch back - I think it may be more useful with that. |

Primrose
This evening at bead club we started a little primrose pin...
I got this far in class |
Watching Dr Who on iplayer and I ran out of thread |
So I joined it on and finished it off.... how cute is this... I even started the leaf too - but now it is definitely time for bed, because I have work in the morning! |

A typical Monday in May
Started this bracelet at bead club this evening - we need two lengths of odd count peyote to go round the wrist.... so I now have HOMEWORK!!!!! |
Made this a few weeks ago at bead club - apologies if I have shown it before. |
A pair of earrings made by coiling wire around a marble. |
More wire-work to make a bracelet. |
|
And here is a closeup! |

South Square and Sainsbury Sunday
Can't have soup and sewing every Sunday!!!
Sorry - no crafts to show you - unless you count the iced cupcakes! But watch this space - the crochet blanket may be getting another airing soon.
Here is Harley the Barn Owl being stroked by me! Isn't he CUTE!! |
This European Eagle Owl waddled round like a huge hen..... here she is spreading her wings. |
An Indian Eagle owl - just before he bit me! Apparently owls can't smell and they need to taste people to check them out. |
Back to the Royal Wedding - cupcakes ready iced for morning coffee break. |
We had ring-side seats - courtesy of the BBC! Caught this kiss on camera during the balcony scene. |
Peeping out of the trough - a little garden visitor! |
Sorry - no crafts to show you - unless you count the iced cupcakes! But watch this space - the crochet blanket may be getting another airing soon.
