Doctor Who?

These are the photos of the Dr Who cardi that I knitted for the entire Easter weekend back in April.   Modelled by Kezia... the cardi was for Lucy's 21st Birthday = she's president of the Dr Who society at St Andrews Uni.  This is the first time I have ever knitted anything without a proper pattern and I drafted all the little dalek motifs myself and tried them all before knitting them into the cardi.

Craft Stamper challenge for September

In an effort to be a bit more creative my Mum and I decided to start entering some of the challenges in Craft Stamper Magazine. For the September magazine we had to make a book mark in certain colours and no larger than a certain size. I think the colours were sage green, mauve and pink. Each bookmark had to feature some stamping (cos it is for Craft Stamper Magazine) and neutral and black and white could also be added. This is the bookmark I made:

Here is the bookmark
my mum made (she's 85 and doesn't do blogging!!)

Union Jack Bag

I made this bag at the weekend - now who is it for? Some lucky person? It's denim and has a pink and turquoise Union Jack appliqued on one side.

Yummy Bracelet

I went to visit my friend Dot for a cup of coffee and guess how excited I was when she got out some beads and showed me how to make this Yummy Bracelet! It fastens with a tiny magnetic clasp. I've not really done any beading like this before, but it was quite easy and lots of fun.

Card making

At the beginning of March I went on a card making course at Colmans in Northamptonshire and we made a card from an A4 sheet with five pop up butterflies. I have adapted this to use a 5 inch square card and only three butterflies. I made some for friends who celebrate Easter

Tank Top

I finished this tank top in March - it is a commercial pattern using double knitting yarn.

February 2010

Sorry about the delay on February's page. I was away at the end of February and beginning of March and have been frantically busy since I got back..... so here it is.... I now have the next 7 days of March to do.

Today I went to the Antique Textile Fair in Manchester and will take some photos tomorrow of my purchases and put them on here.
